15% of the world's population has dyslexia that we know about. There is a large number of people who have dyslexia without knowing it. If you can find dyslexia early in children, they can get the help they need and teachers can help them simplify schooling and get rid of the negative impact of it. With today's technology and using computers early in school that have autocorrect, it is more difficult to find children early with dyslexia.

Netflix has paying user in 190 countries, it is one of the largest streaming services where children already spend many hours of their free time. So what if Netflix could help find children with dyslexia in time with modern technology as eye-tracking. The starting point when having dyslexia is the connection between eye movement and reading ability. The eye movements themselves are not a cause of dyslexia, however, eye movements reflect the underlying problems of word decoding and reading comprehension of those who struggle with these problems. With the help of eye tracking, one can measure the movement of the eyes to then be able to identify if tendency to dyslexia.

We have developed a new feature in Netflix, Neftlix that is there to help children with dyslexia on time. Through eye tracking in the webcam, Netflixa will read about how eyes move over words and by that determine whether you have reading difficulties. Afterwards, the parents will get an indication of whether their children tend to dyslexia and seek out a doctor. With the help of Neftlix we hope that more children can get the help with dyslexia they need and can go from Neftlix to Netflix.
